The Story

Tony Parker brings over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with 15 of those years dedicated to high-growth start-ups. He began his career at Level(3) Communications as a Customer Service Desk Operator. Following the telecom bubble burst, Tony ended up in the Network Operations Centre, where he gained hands-on experience across a range of technologies—from subsea networks to VoIP, IP/MPLS to PDH—and deepened his understanding of OSS systems.

His transition into Pre-Sales marked the beginning of a highly successful chapter, working with a range of innovative start-ups and securing strategic wins across Tier 1 service providers. His sales expertise spans mobile and fixed networks, virtual and physical infrastructure, and service-based as well as software-based solutions.

Throughout his career, Tony has engaged with more than 100 service providers in over 50 countries, delivering cutting-edge start-up and vendor solutions to some of the world’s largest telecom operators, vendors, and OTT platforms. His background in Network Operations has consistently given him an edge—bridging the gap between engineering and sales. He's often been invited to embed with Network Operations teams, contributing to process analysis, workflow optimisation, and even jumping in to resolve tickets when needed.

While there are many excellent fractional sales consultants in telecom, Tony has built a unique niche for himself. He is frequently approached by founders and consultants for qualification support, strategic input, and expert guidance through the complexities of the BSS/OSS landscape. He’s known for helping teams uncover real business cases and navigate the technical-commercial interface with confidence.

 

In short, Tony has become “the Consultant’s Consultant.

 

This reputation and passion for problem-solving led him to launch RaptaTel—a venture focused on empowering the next generation of telecom innovators.
